Tyrell Boyd

Biography.

Tyrell “Iron Soldier” Boyd is an American professional boxer from Baltimore, Maryland, whose championship résumé includes the UBF All Americas, International and Inter-Continental middleweight titles. A six-foot southpaw, Boyd combines a left-handed stance with proven stopping power and has represented Baltimore throughout his professional career.

Known outside the ring for his service in the Army National Guard, Boyd carries a military connection reflected in his “Iron Soldier” nickname. His boxing development has been associated with trainer Mack Allison Jr. and Baltimore’s Time 2 Grind Boxing Gym.

Boyd’s UBF championship record includes a knockout victory over Monreco Goldston on February 28, 2026, in an All Americas title bout. On June 27, 2026, at Patapsco Arena in Baltimore, he stopped Juan Francisco Lopez Barajas in the fourth round. The victory saw him retain his UBF All Americas title and add the vacant UBF International and Inter-Continental middleweight championships, alongside the vacant WBA NABA middleweight title. The WBA’s official result records the knockout at 1:12 of round four.

Boyd reached 20 consecutive professional victories before losing a split decision to DeMarcus Layton on September 26, 2026. The UBF confirmed that its championships were not at stake in that contest and that Boyd remained its titleholder. As of September 2026, his professional record stood at 20 wins, one loss and 16 knockout victories.

His achievements across three UBF championship levels make Boyd a notable representative of Baltimore boxing within the federation’s middleweight ranks.
